What is a shampoo bar?

-Basically, a shampoo bar is what you would have left if you took your favorite shampoo and squeezed all the water out! Handy for travel, and great for keeping plastic bottles out of the landfill.

What is a shampoo bar NOT?

-A shampoo bar is not a regular bar of soap, AKA saponified oils, which has a very high pH. Hair products should be have a pH of 4-5, and regular soap sits around 9! An alkaline pH may increase the negative electrical charge of the hair fiber surface and, therefore, increase friction between the fibers. This may lead to cuticle damage and fiber breakage. Not cool!

This iteration of shampoo bar is Sulfate, Paraben, & Betain Free, and uses gentle pH balanced cleansers derived from coconuts and apples to cleanse your locks and leave them feeling lovely!


Ingredient Highlights:

*Mururmuru Butter* An exotic butter from Brazil, this exotic butter is great for dry & frizzy hair, improving shine and elasticity. It is also known as the 'vegetable silicone'!

*Rice Protein- Adds natural shine to the hair. By increasing the ability of the hair and skin to bind moisture, it leads to increased flexibility and tensile strength.

*Silk Amino Acid- Contains alanine, glycine and serine. Protects hair from moisture loss and conditions it to provide a silky smoothness.

*Argan Oil- Argan oil contains lots of naturally occuring Vitamin E, and is great for taming frizz and promoting glossy shiny hair.

GROW- Cedarwood, Rosemary, Lavender & Peppermint

SHINE- Rosemary, Ylang Ylang, Vetiver & Chamomile

BALANCE- Petitgrain, Lemongrass, Clary Sage, & Tea Tree
